A 100-year-old Neighborhood
in the Heart of the Texas Hill Country

Residents’ Portal

This Page is for the residents of Methodist Encampment. Here we can post neighborhood news, announcements, information about things to sell or give away, proposals…anything we want the neighborhood to know about.  It is not an interactive discussion forum. If you would like to have something posted here, you will need to provide “photo ready” copy in jpg or pdf format just as you would like for it to appear. When preparing your announcement, remember that this is not a private space, although the Website is likely visited primarily by us. Please contact the Administrator at MethodistEncampment@gmail.com for further instructions.

House Signs!

You may have noticed that cool house signs are popping up all over the neighborhood, coinciding with our Centennial.  Some are keyed by name to the Viola Redmond map of Methodist Encampment in the 1950s, which is located at Uvalde and Tanglewood.  Keep your eyes open, more are on the way!

If you’ve been thinking it might be nice to have a sign for your house…do it!  There are no rules!  They may be historical or whimsical, on any surface, whatever.  If you need some help or more information, feel free to contact:  methodistencampment@gmail.com

Manzanita Rustic

Methodist Encampment is not only an interesting and beautiful place itself, it is also a place from which beautiful and interesting things flow out into the world. An example of this is the unusual business of one of our neighbors, Rivendell Floral.  Its creator is deserving of a spot on the old TV show “What’s My Line?”:  He sells STICKS…that’s right, sticksdecorative wood sourced from and shipped all over the world.   See what they look like on his Website: https://www.rivendellfloral.com/
