Happenings

From its inception 100 years ago Methodist Encampment was a true community, where neighbors enjoyed getting together.  

In the old days it was mostly for potlucks; today they still do that, and Happy Hours have been added—in fact, Kerrville’s well-known First Friday Wineshare started in Methodist Encampment.  

In addition, there are now house concerts, educational events, and just gathering at the summit of Mount Wesley to share the wonder of astronomical phenomena such as visiting comets and eclipses of the sun and moon.

This site is a birthday present for the Centennial of Methodist Encampment.  It will be constructed over the course of 2024, which is the 100th anniversary year of the neighborhood.  Please check in once in a while to see how it’s evolving.
